Year 6 Events

Autumn Term 1 - Year 6

In Year 6 we have have been designing and making planes - starting with an experiment with paper plane to making models from balsa wood.  This has involved using jigs, saws and.... warm (although they feel very hot!) glue guns.  All of the children in both classes have shown maturity when using these resources.

Home Learning in Year 5

Well done for all your hard work so far class 11 and class 12.  Keep it up!

The dates for this year's trip were Monday 2nd to Friday 6th March 2020.

Year 5’s Space Odyssey Day:

We arranged for the Space Odyssey dome (see www.spaceodyssey.co.uk for further details) to come to our school for a multimedia presentation, to support of topic of space.

Children from Class 11 arrived at the main school doors by 08:15 for an 08:30 start in the main hall. Children in Class 12 had a normal start of 08:45 and their session began during the school day.

A Cosmic Experience

Year 5’s Victorian School Day:

On Friday 4th October, Year 5 welcomed Mr Murphy, Victorian school master to Holy Trinity. The children enjoyed a day experiencing a Victorian school lesson, finding out about Victorian artefacts and learning about Victorian punishments. The afternoon was spent playing traditional Victorian games such as snakes and ladders, skittles and quoits.
