Below are links to grammar support sheets that the children in years 3-6 use in their Grammar work. The children use these sheet to help identify different grammatical components that make up our sentences. A year 6 child is expected to understand and know all the components that make up all four documents. Please also see examples of some blank review sheets that the children will use in their Grammar lessons.
You will also find our Voyage writing expectations. These are essentially the national curriculum expectations. Year 1 = Voyage 1 and so on. For a child working at age related expectations, each document contains all of the learning that a child has completed and the new voyage that they need to learn and embed. For a child working below expectations, this document will help identify the areas that they need to learning and embed. Writing requires a range of skills that are leant over many years that are continuously in use. Hopefully, these documents will show you the breath and depth of these skills and knowledge.
